After its debut in Barquisimeto,
Venezuela, the Hong Kong speed skating
team will participate again in the World
Championship for its second time. The
technical director of the federation,
Suk Hing Watt, told Patincarrera.com,
the team is very excited and geared up
to race alongside the best speed skaters
in the world.
The Hong Kong Roller Sports
Federation continues making a hit in the
speed skating world with its hard work
and improved skaters through out the year.
With a humble participation
of 3 skaters in Worlds 2003, Hong Kong
has increased its team skaters this year
to race in senior and junior men. The
team consist of Daniel Yeow, Yip Hoi Man
and Chan Wing Go. In senior category,
Lo Hok Chun and Choi Kan Chun. Calvin
Lo will represent Hong Kong in the junior
category.
The junior ladies will
be: Cheung Hoi Man and Angelina Wong
Another
Asian debut
Asia continues being of
the continent with greater expansion in
the skating and this year, Iran will make
its official debut in the World Championship.
There will be approximately 50 participating
countries at this year’s World Championships.
