Austria, Singapore and Denmark will also compete in Anyang.
2006 will be a great year for inline speed skating and Anyang will be in the record books when for the first time the Inline World Championships will have over 50 nations cometing. This week, new teams confirmed their participation in the coming 2006 CIC World Championships that will start up from 2nd of September in South Korea.

In the last few hours, Singapore confirmed their first participation at the Worlds, ratifying the expansion of the discipline in Asia. The team directed by Jenn Lui will compose of Daryl Chan, Ethel Lui and Lai Yongquan.

Another country that will return after being absent in Suzhou 2006 is Austria that will compete with Nikolaus Eigler and Ulreich Jakob where as Denmark also will have its return to the competition in Korea. The team coached by the Austrian Elisabeth Schrenk will compose of Sara Bak, Heidi Nielsen, Martin Andersen, Mathias Dahl, Lasse Simoni and Christian Hartz.

Anyang 2006 has already surpassed the 50 confirmed teams that will be at the start of the imposing Anyang Inline Roller Stadium.

MEXICO SELECTS THEIR TEAM DURING THIS WEEKEND.

The Mexican speed skating team will be again present into the most important worldwide event of the year and for it will organize their Trial competition on August 19th and 20th to choose their eight skaters to go to Korea.

28 athletes will compete in the trials and the Mexican federation will select the skaters who will compete on the road and track. The hopes of the country lie with one of their young skaters Veronica Elias who won four medals in the last Central American Games in Cartagena, Colombia.
