Spain has selected its team that will go to Anyang on August 29.
Just few days are remaining before the start of the 2006 CIC World Championships. The different participating teams have selected their national representing teams. Spain is one of the last to select their team and they held their trials in the Navarran City of Pamplona with the participation of about 35 skaters.

The skaters will competed for two days of competition at the Lagunak Inline Roller Stadium under the supervision of the National Coach, the Argentinean Carlos Lugea who will be in charge of the team until 2008.

Nine athletes were selected and they will need to pack their bags quickly in order to make it to Korea in time.

The athletes that qualified in senior men are Kepa Caballero, Garikoitz Lerga, Ronan Sanchez, Fernando Mejia and Patxi Peula while in the ladies they are Sandra Gómez and Sheila Posada. The biggest chance to take medals are in the junior division with Mikel Goñi and Joseba Fernandez.

The team will depart on August 29th from Bilbao to Seoul via Paris by Air France.

Ecuador and Mexico also pick their teams.

Equador will return to the inline world champs this coming September 2 after missing the Chinese World Champs last year. The National Federation hosted a Trial Championship in Cuenca City where they chose Andres Coello, Marcelo Placencia and Cristian Astudillo.

Mexico organized their trials in San Luis Potosi City where they raced the track and road competitions to choose the nine Mexican athletes for the coming Worlds in Anyang. At the moment, everybody is still waiting to know the official selection from the Mexican Roller Sports Federation to discover who the athletes that qualified for the biggest event of the season.
